John started out in financial services in 1982 before running his own Independent Financial Advice business for 20 years. He has helped launch a number of start-up businesses, including an innovative retailing service for one of the world’s biggest and best known logistics operators.

He is currently working with the tax experts at a leading UK accounting and business advisory firm, using his financial experience to help SMEs work through the complexities of R&D tax credits in order to assess their eligibility for Government-funded cash available from working in technical development. He is happy to work on a no-fee basis to make an initial assessment of Rockstar Mentoring clients’ R&D tax relief potential.

In the same vein, John is also partnering with a specialist in transactional financing to offer SMEs solutions for raising the capital they need to keep business flowing at every stage of the supply chain.
